For me, having a capsule wardrobe has been an important step in my rebranding journey, but working on the canvas itself is just as important for my physical and mental well-being. Looking and feeling your best goes far beyond your wardrobe. For me, moving my body has become one of the biggest parts of my rebranding journey. When it comes to staying active, I personally think that a well-rounded workout routine is key. My current workout routine consists of strength training three times a week, cardio three times a week, and Pilates twice a week (I like to pair my strength and cardio workouts on the same day).

Strength Training - Rep by Rep

I've found strength training to be one of the biggest contributors to building muscle, boosting my metabolism, and improving my bone health. I typically dedicate three days a week to lifting weights, splitting my workouts between upper and lower body. When training my lower body, I enjoy lifting heavier weights, prioritizing progressive overload. Lately, I've been focusing on lighter weights and higher repetitions for my upper body to achieve the "Pilates arms" look. Not only do I feel stronger and more toned, but I've also noticed improvements in my posture and overall confidence. Strength training has become one of my favorite ways to challenge myself while celebrating what my body is capable of.

Cardio - Road to Better

On my cardio days, I love to mix things up with running and treadmill workouts. Running gives me a sense of freedom and the opportunity to explore the outdoors, while a treadmill session with an incline of 10 at a speed of 3 provides a solid workout that I can do anytime, regardless of the weather. One of the reasons I enjoy cardio is because it's associated with supporting cardiovascular health. Personally, I also notice that I feel more energized, my mood improves, and I feel less stressed after a good workout. Pairing cardio with my strength sessions on the same day has been a game changer for my energy levels. I usually run in the morning and complete my strength training later in the afternoon or evening.

Finding Balance with Pilates

Pilates serves as the perfect complement to both my cardio and strength workouts—preferably a heated mat class. I've found that it helps improve my flexibility, core strength, and mobility. It also gives me an opportunity to stretch the muscles I've worked during my strength training sessions, helping me feel recovered and less tight afterward. One of my favorite aspects of Pilates is the emphasis on breath, control, and alignment. I've noticed that those principles have carried over into other areas of my life, helping me feel more focused and mindful both in and out of the gym.

Final Thoughts

My workout routine blends strength training, cardio, and Pilates in a way that feels balanced and sustainable for me. I've also heard great things about Lagree, so it's definitely something I'd love to try in the future. Whether I'm lifting weights in the gym, enjoying fresh air during a morning run, or flowing through a Pilates class, I'm grateful for the variety and how each form of movement contributes to my overall well-being. At the end of the day, the best workout routine is the one that you genuinely enjoy and can stick with. Consistency and discipline become much easier when movement is something you look forward to rather than something you feel forced to do.
