Little Things That Have Helped Me Feel More Like Myself

Between painful periods, hormonal breakouts, and everything else our bodies throw at us, there are times when simply feeling like yourself can be a challenge. I've spent the last few years paying closer attention to the products I use and the small habits that make me feel my best. While everyone's body is different, these are a few things that have become staples in my routine and that I personally enjoy.

Choosing Comfort: Cotton Pads and Liners

One of the first changes I made was switching to Cora cotton pads and liners. I wanted to be more mindful of the products I was using during my period, and I liked that these are made with 100% organic cotton. For me, I was tired of hearing about the chemicals in other brands and recalls. These pads are comfortable and absorb well. I also noticed that after making the switch, my periods felt a little more manageable. Of course, everyone's experience is different, but if you've never looked into cotton menstrual products, it might be worth doing a little research to see if they're a good fit for you.

Raspberry Tea

Raspberry leaf tea has become one of my favorite additions to my routine before my period. Some people drink it because they feel it helps support menstrual comfort, and while everyone's experience is different, I genuinely enjoy making a warm cup when I know my cycle is approaching. Even if it's simply the ritual of slowing down for a few minutes, it's become a form of self-care that I look forward to each month. I should also mention that my cycle is pretty regular when I drink this tea.

Spearmint Tea for Hormonal Breakouts

If you've ever dealt with hormonal acne, you know how frustrating it can be. I've been enjoying spearmint tea as part of my wellness routine after hearing about its potential role in supporting hormonal balance. While it's certainly not a replacement for a good skincare routine or medical advice, it's one of those small habits that has earned a place in my daily routine.

Don't Forget About Cotton Underwear

Sometimes the smallest changes make the biggest difference. One thing I've become intentional about is choosing cotton underwear, especially around my period. I find it more breathable and comfortable, and when I'm already trying to make myself feel my best, every little bit helps.

Final Thoughts

Rebranding your life as a woman dealing with hormonal issues begins with small, intentional choices. Learning what works for your body is a journey, and there's no one-size-fits-all approach. These are simply a few products and habits that I've personally incorporated into my routine and have genuinely enjoyed. I still suffer with hormonal issues from time to time, but adding these to my life have made a big difference.
